Megan Dean is an up-and-coming blogger who is currently writing exclusively for the MECKids blog. With a passion for making people laugh and bringing teens just like her together, she hopes to be able to educate and connect with all her readers on a personal level throughout her blogging career.
Nicolette is a Nutrition Consultant and Health Education Specialist currently completing her graduate degree in Human Nutrition from McGill University where she uses her public health background to analyze the impact socioeconomics and environment has on food and health systems in an effort to eliminate health disparities at home and abroad. Lillian has specialized in tasty and convenient vegetarian and vegan cooking since she was 11, when featured in the paper for cooking tofu. Her goal is to make accurate and healthy eating information accessible to as many people as possible. To do this Lillian looks to really share information on the roles various foods play in sustaining your daily activity. Additionally Lillian hopes to make eating your veggies less intimidating and more fun and delicious! She resides in NYC where she enjoys the local markets, easy access to apple orchards and the large variety of foods.

Shannon is a Dancer, Instructor and Writer with a degree in Journalism from Howard University. Shannon’s objective in life is to creatively make an impact on the lives of children of all ages through appreciation of the arts. Her focus is not only on learning artistic expression through movement, but also on promoting a well rounded, healthy lifestyle through journalism. Shannon resides in Hyattsville, MD, where she teaches and dances full time.
