These Are the Healthiest Hot Chocolate Recipes Ever!

healthy hot chocolate

This is the season to get cozy next to the fire and sip on a delicious mug of winter’s signature beverage, hot chocolate. My personal favorite isn’t something you find inside one of those instant Swiss Miss packets but is made from Nestle’s “Abuelita’s Hot Chocolate Bars”! It’s melted in a slow cooker along with whole milk, white and brown sugar, half a teaspoon of vanilla extract, a dash of salt, and sometimes, just a sprinkle of cinnamon. Top it all off with some whipped cream and a drizzle of chocolate syrup, you have the ultimate drink of the season!

I realized that although this recipe is absolutely, undeniably DELICIOUS, it probably isn’t something I should have everyday…even though I tend to make it a daily habit during the winter time. I discovered some pretty tasty hot chocolate recipes that are actually a scrumptious substitute to those days where all I want is a cup of my famous Abuelita’s cocoa. These recipes are to die for! Try one of these amazing recipes for a lighter calorie drink to warm you up!
