These are on one of the most delicious and one of my favorite vegetables! I am overjoyed that spring is here so that I can now enjoy endless amounts! Sugar snaps are another awesome treat for spring! This spring vegetable makes it very easy to eat seasonally. These are great to enjoy raw if you simply rinse them and take off the tip of the stem. If you want to be adventurous you can sauté them in some oil and salt and then chop up some fresh mint for a winning side. Click here for an awesome recipe for sugar snaps with mint.
Now peas may seem like a vegetable that is seasonal all through the year but spring is defiantly their time to shine. So I want to be sure to highlight them while it is the perfect time! Use peas as an addition to your salad, added into a soup for a bright addition or simply as a snack.
Now that we have some of the best vegetables lets not forget the awesome fruits that this season is going to bring us!
These are great to grab and eat on the go! Slice up a few and add a sliced banana for a mix of texture and you will have a delicious and satisfying treat. Many fruits and berries are best eaten by themselves. This will greatly help to cut down on the sugar intake!
Filled with antioxidants, blueberries are phenomenal for adding to your morning smoothie, yogurt, oatmeal or just as a great snack.
